Beyond the ordinary

Sometimes we are asked to host special events!

June 20, 2026 we had the honour of hosting Premier Smith, Minister of Finance MLA Jason Nixon, MP William Stevenson, Reeve MVC Angela Aalbers, Sundre Mayor Richard Warnock and all the councillors from Mountain View County, and the Town of Sundre at the Sundre Airport.

Our story

We are a not-for-profit organization founded by a small group of aviation enthusiasts who had a vision to see the important role an airport would serve in the community.

Our vision is to inspire and enable our aviation community and our aviation enthusiasts to fully realize their goals in aviation.

Our mission is to inspire, nurture, support and encourage the love of aviation for our members, fellow aviators, visitors and community in a safe, inclusive and respectful environment.

Sharing the love of aviation

In our effort to promote aviation in the region and 'give back' to our community, the Sundre Flying Club offers an annual scholarship or bursary to a local student pursuing a career in aviation who requires assistance with education costs. Application forms are available at Sundre, Caroline or Cremona High Schools, or Sundre Flying Club members. Funds awarded will be paid too the accredited aviation school in which the student is studying. Anyone interesting in contributing to the Scholarship / Bursary Fund is strongly encouraged to contact a member of the Flying Club.
